Dr. Gregory Cox is a board-certified ophthalmologist who brings world-class expertise in cornea and refractive surgery to his practice in Hamilton, where he is dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal vision. Born and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Cox graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University before earning his medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia on a merit scholarship, where he graduated among the top five members of his class. His extensive training and commitment to excellence have established him as a trusted specialist in advanced eye care procedures.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Cox attended Rutgers University, graduating summa cum laude. He then attended the Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia on a merit scholarship, graduating among the top five members of his class. Dr. Cox pursued an ophthalmology residency at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey, where he also served as the department of ophthalmology’s chief resident from 1994 to 1995.
Dr. Cox completed a formal cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at the prestigious Anheuser-Busch Eye Institute at St. Louis University. His training emphasized cornea transplantation, radial/astigmatic keratotomy, and laser vision correction. He also participated in the FDA trial leading to the approval of Intacs® corneal rings.
I’m passionate about eye care because I know how much clear vision means to every stage of life, from childhood learning to enjoying life’s milestones. Taking the time to listen, explain, and guide each patient is my way of making sure no one ever takes their sight for granted.
